Your Manager: Head of Category and Insights

Team: Strategy and Transformation

Location: Chiswick, London. We operate a hybrid working approach, which allows you to manage your time between home and office.

In the UK, Pernod Ricard is made up of 4 businesses:

* Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK
* Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
* Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
* The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Our diverse population of 300+ passionate employees have been creating conviviality since 2001, bringing our premium brands and unforgettable experiences to the UK. As the world’s 2nd largest spirits market, the UK is a key location for our company.

As part of the UK Category and Insights team your key focus is to drive the agenda of consumer and shopper understanding within the UK business, unlocking a competitive advantage for PRUK.

You will be a driving force to embed Consumer Centricity, providing clear insights that bring to life the UK Consumer, the trends that influence them and the challenges that our brands need to overcome to win with them and truly become ‘passion brands’.

You will be focussed on ensuring these key insights are delivered in a way that inspires action to truly drive forward business performance.

Your unique contribution

You will have the following main areas of responsibility:

Brand Equity Measurement (PRIME & SEARCH)

* Own the Pernod Ricard Equity Measurement programme (PRIME), ensuring brand teams clearly understand and act on their equity challenges and opportunities.
* Manage global PRIME KPIs throughout the year, tracking performance and driving best-practice understanding across the business.
* Lead quarterly PRIME reporting, presenting insights to the Marketing Leadership Team.
* Manage the annual PRIME presentation process with IPSOS, integrating data from PRIME, Search, Radarly, and Media Spend to deliver comprehensive strategic insights.

Consumer Strategy (MAESTRIA & Consumer Centricity)

* Champion Maestria Demand Spaces, ensuring they guide brand activation, innovation, and customer marketing planning.
* Drive a culture of consumer centricity, overseeing insights onboarding and upskilling teams to self-serve on consumer tools.
* Promote and manage Centre of Excellence (COE) tools, connecting consumer and shopper insight projects.
* Facilitate direct consumer interactions and manage the Toluna partnership to deliver bespoke research aligned with key business questions.

Trends & Foresight

* Lead PRUK’s understanding of evolving UK market trends, delivering two annual State of the Nation presentations.
* Integrate global insights and opportunity platforms to inspire strategic action across marketing and commercial teams.

* Broader Category and Insights Team
* Marketing and Customer Marketing (MLT and operational)
* Own PRUK relationship with HQ Global Insights Centre of Excellence
* Strategy and Transformation Team

* Champion consumer centricity and trend foresight, connecting cultural shifts and emerging behaviours to brand and category opportunities.
* Collaborate and lead with impact, building strong cross-functional relationships, managing agency partners, and developing insight capability across the team.
