At NHS Property Services, we believe our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Our People Strategy — Get, Grow, and Keep Great People — is all about building a values‑driven culture where colleagues and customers are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for a Senior Estates Manager to take ownership of a well‑established and well‑run portfolio across Walsall, Cannock, Wolverhampton, and the wider Dudley patch. This is a customer‑facing leadership role where you’ll be the trusted, visible estates partner for local GP practices and medical centres.
You’ll work across a diverse estate, manage contractors, ensure compliance, and build strong relationships with stakeholders — all while delivering safe, effective, and high‑quality environments for NHS colleagues and patients.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Hard FM experience, excellent people skills, and the confidence to bring gravitas to every room they step into.
Who you are
You’re an experienced FM professional with a strong technical background in Hard FM (engineering, M&E, or technical services). You thrive in customer‑facing environments, you’re confident building relationships with GP practices and you can communicate with clarity, credibility, and impact.
You bring a calm, solution‑focused approach to problem solving and you’re able to manage multiple sites, stakeholders, and contractors with ease. You’re someone who brings reassurance and are the kind of person customers trust the moment you walk through the door.
You enjoy working flexibly across sites, office and home and you’re committed to being “where you need to be” to get the job done. You have a full UK driving licence and live within the West Midlands region.
Key Responsibilities

6. Ensure all sites operate safely and in line with compliance requirements
7. Maintain visibility across your estate, working on site as required
8. Support continuous improvement across your patch and the wider Estates team
Where you’ll be
This is a field‑based, smart‑working role covering the Walsall – Cannock – Wolverhampton – Dudley area, as such you must live within this region. There will be weekly team day: Wednesday at Dudley Central Clinic with additional travel to sites within your patch as required.
What we can offer you
Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
