We are currently looking for a Project Commercial Director who will be accountable for the successful commercial management of healthcare projects (or similar) from commencement through to completion and handover reporting directly into the Commercial Director of the Building Services Operating Unit.
As the Project Commercial Director, you will:
1. Responsible for key stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance and the strategic leadership of the project team alongside the Project Director and other leaders.
2. Lead contract negotiations and effectively administer contracts ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, healthcare sector standards, and company policies throughout commercial activities.
3. Deliver accurate project forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting aligned with OU Forecasting & Reporting Procedures & OWOW governance processes.
4. Develop and drive the commercial strategy of the Project to ensure profitability and alignment with business objectives.
5. Responsible for decisions that affect project delivery/ commercial success and ensure transparent reporting of risks, opportunities, financial status and programme position to the Project Director and OU leadership.
We are looking for:
6. Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments including government, public sector, and wider community groups.
7. Strong commercial acumen with experience in the NEC contract forms and public procurement frameworks. Option C target cost form of NEC contract experience desirable.
8. Demonstrable experience of managing projects from inception through to completion with a value of between £100m–£400m
9. Demonstrable skills and experience in financial, contract law, commercial and project management, and financial/business acumen.
