Main duties of the job
The Workforce Development Lead for Social Prescribing will play a key role in supporting the development, supervision, and sustainability of the Social Prescribers and personalised care workforce across Nottingham City Primary Care Networks.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
* CPD supervision
* Facilitate the provision of 2‑hour group supervision sessions once a month to SPLWs
* Offer mentorship and guidance to other personalised care facilitators to support confidence, competence, and wellbeing
* Support in the provision of continuous professional development (CPD) teaching that meets the needs of workforce
* Be the link between NCGPA, their management team and the individual staff member
* Provide coaching / mentoring support to facilitate the development of individuals on an as‑needed basis
* Prioritise support to promote individual’s wellbeing and signpost to their manager as needed
* Support with relevant standard operating procedures
* Ensure accurate and contemporaneous records of sessions are kept in line with CQC requirements
* Workforce development: support PCNs to identify and address workforce development needs, ensuring alignment with organisational, ICU and national priorities
* Support in the design and delivery of induction, appraisal and development opportunities to promote consistency and quality across the personalised care team
* Listen and support the current workforce to promote their retention
* Promote a positive work culture that supports and develops individuals to ensure that patients get the best experience and care
* Service quality: support clear and consistent standards for practice, including knowledge, skills and behaviours
* Support the development of systems and monitoring that improve quality and consistency whilst reducing variation in outcomes and access standards
* Ensure appropriate governance mechanisms are in place to reduce risk and improve patient safety
