Job Overview:
Towngate Primary Academy are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. In this vital role, you'll provide crucial one-on-one and small-group support to empower our students with special educational needs. You'll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. You will also collaborate closely with the class teacher, assisting with classroom activities and championing the overall well-being and development of our students.

Duties:
- Under the direction and supervision of a teacher or line manager (e.g. Higher-Level Teaching Assistant), to support pupil's learning, to attend to pupils' personal needs and to provide general support in managing pupils and the classroom.
- To uphold and promote the Academy's child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all staff.
- To promote the safety and wellbeing of students.
Experience:
- The ability to relate well with children and adults.
- Level 2 Numeracy/ Literacy or willingness to work towards.
- The ability to work as a member of a team.
- Good communication skills to engage with pupils, teachers, and parents.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £9,653.51 per year
