This is an exciting opportunity to build something new: to lay the foundations of a mid-value programme, contribute to a culture of insight-led fundraising, and help secure long-term funding that supports hospice care for generations to come.
You’ll use your natural curiosity and relationship building skills to understand what motivates our donors, how they want to be involved and where their interests lie. Using the data and information available, you’ll not be afraid to pick up the phone and to build a rapport with our donors. With your tenacious approach you will be able to identify opportunities to nurture our donors further, whether that’s onto another donation, joining a mid or high value giving programme, taking part in an event or leaving a legacy. With a keen eye for insight and patterns in data, and a confident, warm approach to donor conversations, you’ll help identify those with a capacity and desire to support further – and design ways for them to do just that through the mid-value programme of activity.

* Able to work collaboratively to deliver targets and enjoys working with the wider team to successfully achieve shared goals.
* Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing demand, able to use their own initiative to solve problems and efficiently find solutions.
Role responsibilities to include:
* Develop and run the mid-value programme to identify and cultivate a strong pipeline of mid-value donors, nurturing relationships to increase engagement and giving potential.
* Develop tailored stewardship plans, providing a personalised experience to deepen donor connections and increase engagement for our mid-value regular donors and regular one-off donors.
* Support the Individual Giving Manager with the upgrade of existing regular donor support and contribute to ideas for regular donor acquisition.
* Explore opportunities for a mid-value membership programme or product that would maximise income and long-term commitment.
* Engage with supporters through calls, videos, meetings, and events, sharing the impact of their generosity and exploring opportunities for increased giving.
Person specification to include:
* A curious mind and a passion for communicating with our supporters.
* Previous experience or transferable skills in a fundraising/sales/membership driven environment.
* Demonstrable ability to provide excellent personalised stewardship/customer care to supporters/clients/customers, cultivating long-term relationships and making them feel valued.
* Proven experience of client/stakeholder management or high levels of customer service.
* Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to positively influence internal and external audiences.
* An understanding of how to use data and analysis to inform decision making.
