Health Visitor Team Lead Band 7 £50,861 - £59,159 (pro rata) Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata) 22.5 hours per week Permanent post NHS Western Isles is currently seeking a Health Visitor Team Lead to join our Balivanich Clinic. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the NHS Western Isles Health Visiting & School Nursing Team to provide a pro-active accessible and equitable island wide health visiting and school nursing service. To provide leadership to the team with responsibility for the implementation of service developments based on agreed policies and procedures ensuring a high quality service working within the NMC Code, and Clinical Governance frameworks. Responsible for the training of student Health Visitors and liaison with higher education establishments. You must be a Registered Public Health Nurse with a qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Degree. You must have several years post registration as a Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor with several years experience with diverse caseload and leasrship/management experience. A driving licence and access to vehicle is essential for this post. The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
