About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Secondary Phase SEND team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with learning difficulties and disabilities in mainstream classes, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independent learning skills.
As part of our Learning Support Team, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and pupils to ensure that every child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Support subject teachers in delivering lessons to students with additional needs.
* Ensure students can access lesson content through tailored support, clarification, and resources.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence, self-esteem, and independent learning.
* Assist with study, organisational, and life skills development.
* Work with teachers to plan lessons, prepare resources, and deliver differentiated activities.
* Contribute to student assessments, records, and Individual Pen Profiles.
* Liaise regularly with parents and attend SEND/Annual Review meetings as required.
* Support wider school policies, safeguarding, and inclusion practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
