About the role
We are looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the senior leadership team at Philips High School, part of Oak Learning Partnership. Working closely with the Headteacher and wider team, you will play a key role in shaping school improvement priorities, raising standards, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for every child. This role is ideal for either an established deputy looking for new challenges or a proven leader who is ready to take on significant strategic responsibilities and drive whole-school development in all areas of pastoral provision. The role provides strategic oversight of Behaviour and Attendance, Inclusion, Safeguarding and Personal Development. You will also be an integral part of the wider leadership network across our Trust, contributing to system leadership and benefiting from high-quality professional development. Why join Philips High School? Our staff feel privileged to work at Philips High School, where we have made year of year improvements to life chances for young people. It is a truly inclusive and diverse community that fosters mutual respect, responsibility, and aspiration. Our highly motivated staff, in partnership with students, parents, and governors, work hard to ensure all students achieve their best outcomes academically and pastorally. By offering opportunities to excel, we aim to equip students to reach their full potential, fulfil their ambitions, and make a positive difference with pride and respect. Our year on year improvements in Attainment and Progress has placed us as the second best performing school in Bury for Attainment. We would be happy for you to arrange a visit to the school, where we can discuss with you the importance of the school within the local community and how, by working with us, you can be part of the team that builds on the past, ensures performance in the present and prepares the students for their future successes. Contact the school directly for a tour.
