The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a driven, professional, and commercially focused Area Sales Representative to take ownership of an established and high-potential territory covering Surrey, Sussex, South West London, and West London.

This role offers a strong mix of existing customer accounts and genuine new business opportunities, making it ideal for a motivated sales professional who wants to make an immediate impact and build a successful long-term territory.

This role will suit a highly motivated and commercially driven sales professional who is hungry to win business and maximise their earnings.

You will be responsible for developing customer relationships, growing market share, identifying opportunities, and promoting our range of premium machinery brands across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone already working in plant, machinery, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or capital equipment sales who wants to join a growing and ambitious business.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage and develop sales across Surrey, Sussex, South West London, and West London
* Build on an existing customer base while proactively identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities
* Develop strong relationships with contractors, plant hire companies, owner-operators, and end users
* Promote and sell our machinery range, including:
* Bobcat Construction
* Bobcat Agriculture
* Mecalac – dumpers, rollers, and associated equipment
* Conduct customer visits, site meetings, product demonstrations, and territory development activity
* Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to close
* Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurately manage CRM activity
* Work closely with internal teams including service, parts, and sales support
* Monitor competitor activity, customer demand, and opportunities within the territory
* Represent the business professionally and proactively in the market


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

* Motivated, target-driven, and commercially aware
* Confident in a field-based sales role
* A strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills
* Comfortable managing and growing an established sales territory
* Organised, professional, and self‑motivated
* Hungry to win business while delivering a high level of customer service


Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience in field sales / area sales / territory sales
* Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:
* Agricultural machinery
* Capital equipment
* Strong negotiation, objection handling, and closing ability
* Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
* CRM and general IT proficiency
* Full UK driving licence
