Are you a press officer looking for your next opportunity to work in book PR? Carver PR are looking for a publicist to join their new and thriving books division. The role will be responsible for delivering high impact PR campaigns for a variety of clients, across non-fiction and fiction.
Key responsibilities:
* Independently plan and implement campaigns that deliver on all available PR opportunities, covering traditional and non-traditional media, and including print, broadcast, online and events
* Work closely with clients, maintaining communication throughout campaigns and provide a high level of author and agent care at all times
* Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and producers
* Respond to journalist requests efficiently
* Showcase keen knowledge of the book industry
* Communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues in the Carver PR office
* Occasionally attend and manage events
* Accompany clients to media appearances
* Maintain high standards of presentation and attention to details
* From time to time attend new business meetings with Head of Books
Person specification:
* An in-depth knowledge of the UK books landscape
* Great contacts with journalists and producers
* Copywriting and pitching skills
* 3+ years’ publicity experience, preferably with demonstrable non-fiction experience
* Resilient and confident in managing multiple projects, prioritising time effectively
