Summary
As an operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of fire remediation schemes, reporting directly to the Operations Director. Your role will encompass overseeing all production functions from pre-construction planning, Building Safety Regulator (BSR) submissions, and contract award through to the final issue of Maintenance Certificates. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, to the highest standards of quality and compliance, while maintaining strong relationships with principal contractors and clients. A key focus will be on maximising operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability across all assigned contracts. You will lead and support teams of Project and Site Managers, coordinate with technical stakeholders including Fire Engineers and NHBC Risk Inspectors and collaborate closely with commercial and planning teams to manage budgets, control costs, and maintain accurate reporting. Promoting and implementing company policies on Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards will be essential, alongside ensuring full compliance with the Business Management System (BMS).
Skills
Proven experience in fire remediation and façade works, including cladding replacement and passive fire protection
Strong knowledge of NHBC procedures and successful inspection/handovers
Expertise in construction-related Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) standards and legislation
Familiarity with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) submission processes and regulatory compliance
Experience managing projects under principal contractor responsibilities, including client and consultant coordination
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes
Competence in project management software and digital tools for reporting, planning, and document control
Leadership and team management skills, fostering accountability and excellence
Financial acumen in managing project budgets, cost control, and profitability optimisation
Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management
