Production Manager - Progression into General Management
Salary: Starting at ~ £45,000 Depending on Experience + Bonus

Are you a Production or Technical Manager from a FMCG background that is looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact on a small but rapidly growing business where you can progress into General Management?
This long-running Soft Drinks company has been experiencing a significant increase in demand in recent years, supplying a range of products to major supermarkets covering things such as Juices and Flavoured Waters, and more recently Sports Drinks.
The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in a Production, Operations or Technical Management role within the FMCG industry, preferably within Food or Beverage Manufacturing although this is not essential.
Importantly, they will need to have a proactive and hands-on approach to leadership, and will be comfortable engaging in day-to-day operations rather than managing from afar.
For someone with the right approach to leadership, there will be the opportunity to gradually transition into a General Manager role that will give you overall responsibility for the business.

Day-to-day of the role:
Leading, motivating and developing production staff to achieve targets while maintaining standards and morale
Overseeing daily production and bottling operations, ensuring KPIs are achieved and resolving any shortfalls where applicable
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with legislation, risk assessments, and SOPs
Ensuring colleagues are trained, competent, and supported, identifying and addressing skill gaps where necessary
Analysing consistent or significant issues affecting production capabilities and wastage, implementing solutions and Continuous Improvement projects wherever necessary
Managing production‑related paperwork, traceability, audits, and site compliance requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Production or Technical Management role
Strong leadership skills such as motivating staff, improving performance and developing positive workplace cultures
Highly organised, strong communication and writing skills, and IT competent for all electronic documentation systems
Any level of HR experience highly beneficial e.g recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary procedures
Ideally coming from a Food or Beverage Manufacturing background, or another area of FMCG if not
Full driving license
