We’re now looking for an Workplace Support Manager to join our team on-site in Guildford on a 6 month fixed-term contract. This exciting hands-on opportunity will be crucial in shaping our studio’s day-to-day Work place support operations to ensure everything runs seamlessly; a truly hands-on role! Reporting to the IT & Facilities Director, the WPS Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining a wide-range of day-to-day operations, all of which ultimately ensure the office environment fosters collaboration, creativity and high levels of morale and happiness at work. This is a crucial role to keep our studio offices safe and engaging for our people, whilst enabling a productive and comfortable working environment. Heres a snippet of what youll be up to: Oversee and own building and facilities services at Supermassive Games across all sites ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for staff and visitors. Manage and support the Workplace Services team, ensuring both personal and professional performance and development through coaching and guidance. Develop & maintain relationships with external support functions and manage building and facilities services, including procurement, budgeting, negotiation, and performance management. Coordinate and manage the organisation, set-up and clean-up of in-studio events (e.g., all in-studio meetings, game launches, press events, charity/awareness days, etc.) to ensure sufficient catering and that the rooms/event areas are presentable and decorated, working closely with relevant internal stakeholder to ensure event objectives are achieved. Closely collaborate with the HR and Communications teams to generate creative ideas for company events and initiatives related to staff wellbeing, engagement and EDI, coordinating, communicating and executing once direction is agreed.Manage Workplace Services projects and small works from initial idea to completion, meeting deadlines and maintaining detailed communication with key stakeholders throughout. Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, and sustainability legislation. Document and develop building and facilities information, focusing on operational processes and safety compliance. Work together with team members to document and track assets, report potential risks, and follow security protocols throughout the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition to safe disposal. Assist in overseeing security measures, such as access control and alarm systems, in collaboration with the Security and Infrastructure teams. Work with stakeholders to efficiently manage studio space in line with requirements, from desk allocation to room usability. Proven experience of managing a small team, with exposure to all aspects of people management. Proficient in current safety legislation and best practice. Highly organised with the ability to multitask well and efficiently handle tasks of varying complexity. Strong skills in prioritising effectively, especially with competing or conflicting priorities. Resourceful and adaptable; committed to supporting the efficient operation of the studio by taking on any necessary tasks. Able to communicate positively, proactively and constructively with a diverse range of people at all levels Passionate about working with others in a collaborative setting, whilst equally able to work independently and self-motivate. Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality. Embraces new challenges and seeks to continuously learn and develop. Any experience of working within the creative industries would be great, but by no means required. Given the nature of this role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of people in the studio. You’ll also be expected to maintain a close working relationship with the building management teams for both offices.
