Responsibilities and Duties
Some of your duties will include:
* Working on high-value international disputes, mainly arbitrations involving multi-million or billion-pound sums.
* Providing highly analytical expert opinions with expert reports for formal dispute resolution proceedings.
* Liaising with internal and external parties to generate required information and documentation.
* Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to marketing efforts as needed.
* Mentoring, developing, and managing both new and existing experts and consultants within the team.
Desired Skills and Experience
* A background in Quantity Surveying, ideally for major reputable employers and large-scale projects.
* Experience writing reports for arbitration.
* Experience taking independent appointments.
* Testified and cross-examined in arbitration proceedings.
* Proven ability in business development and work-winning capabilities.
* Methodical and analytical approach to tasks.
* Meticulous and thorough in work quality.
* Experience training and coaching junior staff.
* A personable and professional manner.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Degree qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
* Ideally, a MSc or LLM in Construction Law.
