We are seeking an experienced Technical Design & Estimating Engineer to join a growing Glasgow-based team delivering complex architectural systems projects.
This role combines technical design expertise with commercial awareness, supporting projects from tender through to fabrication. You will develop practical design solutions, produce accurate drawings and prepare competitive, compliant quotations while working closely with clients, suppliers and internal fabrication teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Design & Technical
1. Preparing faade and shop drawings using AutoCAD
2. Developing details for curtain walling, punched windows, fixed lights and door ironmongery
3. Interpreting architectural and structural drawings to produce coordinated faade designs
4. Applying faade principles including glass specification, wind and barrier loads, weathering, drainage and thermal performance
