Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital part of school life – providing healthy, high-quality meals that support our children’s learning and development. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that lunchtime is a positive, enjoyable experience for all of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and clear the dining area, including moving and arranging furniture
* Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and beverages
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
* Support the cook in charge and collaborate with the catering team
What We’re Looking For
* A positive team player with excellent communication skills
* Someone who can build good relationships with both children and colleagues
* Good customer care and a professional attitude
* The ability to work well under pressure and show initiative
* Previous catering or food prep experience (desirable but not essential)
* Food hygiene certification (training can be provided)
