Research Associate for NIHR funded RfPB study: “A study to determine the design and feasibility of a randomised controlled clinical trial of MOVE SMART - an intervention to increase physical activity, reduce sedentary behaviour and improve health outcomes in patients with psoriasis.”
MOVE SMART is a physical‑behaviour intervention, which is potentially beneficial across several critical health outcomes for patients with psoriasis. The purpose of the project is to determine whether a multi‑centre randomized controlled clinical trial of MOVE SMART is feasible and whether our methodology is acceptable to volunteers.
The post holder (post‑doctoral researcher) will be responsible for leading the day‑to‑day running of the project under the overall direction of Dr Helen Young, including recruitment, consent, randomisation, guiding and supporting volunteers through the trial processes, data collection and analysis, consultation with other researchers, presentation and reporting and preparation of manuscripts for publication. The post holder must be organised, responsible, and work well with other members of the team and the wider project group. This dynamic and demanding role requires prioritising tasks, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to work independently. Interaction with study volunteers will be largely virtual and therefore exceptional people skills will be required. Experience in clinical qualitative research, quantitative analysis and excellent team working are essential skills.
