About the Position

We are seeking a Research Scientist to join our world‑class team at Schlumberger Doll Research (SDR) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where breakthrough science meets real‑world impact. In this role, you will help shape the future of energy by inventing and advancing next‑generation process systems that enable cleaner, more efficient, and more sustainable energy solutions.

At SDR, research doesn't stop at theory—you will work at the intersection of fundamental science, hands‑on experimentation, and scalable industrial deployment, tackling some of the most pressing challenges of the global energy transition. Your work will directly contribute to reducing carbon intensity, improving energy efficiency, and enabling new clean energy and decarbonization technologies across SLB's portfolio. This position is ideal for a scientist or engineer driven by curiosity and purpose—someone excited to design and run cutting‑edge laboratory and pilot‑scale experiments, transform insights into deployable technologies, and see their ideas make a measurable impact on the path to a lower‑carbon, more sustainable energy system.
