Science Teacher - Harrow - Full-Time - October Start - KS3-4 - Long-term

We are currently recruiting for a passionate Science Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision Secondary School based in Harrow, working with students aged 11-16. This school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping students to unlock their full potential with confidence while focusing on core subjects to prepare them for life beyond school.
They are currently seeking a Science Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on a full-time, long-term basis, starting in October.
Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:
1. Maintain and follow the safeguarding and health & safety policies of the school.
2. Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
3. Support students with a range of needs, including those displaying challenging behaviours.
4. Differentiate lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
5. Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
6. Work collaboratively with support staff, mentors, and senior leaders to meet students' academic and emotional needs.
7. Track and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage development.
Requirements of a Science Teacher:
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
9. Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3-KS4).
10. Previous experience working with challenging behaviours or in an alternative provision/SEMH setting is highly desirable.
11. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
12. A patient, empathetic, and resilient teaching approach.
