Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 30 academies; 17 secondary and 13 primaries across the North of England in fourteen Local Authority regions.
Denton's academic performance has seen a remarkable turnaround in just two academic years, with exam outcomes doubling and now above the national averages. While the 2025 performance tables are yet to be officially released, provisional data indicates that Denton was outperformed only by two selective schools in Tameside in terms of the percentage of students who pass English and Maths at a Grade 5 or higher - placing it third overall on key attainment measures and the highest-performing non-selective school in the borough.
