Role of a Chef
As a Chef, you will craft exciting, nutritious meals, catering for allergies and dietary preferences, and infuse each dish with creativity and passion. Support chefs will have opportunities to work across our London nurseries, including Brixton, Balham, Forest Hill, and Greenwich.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children, 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends
* Follow nutritionist-designed recipes ensuring dietary needs and safety standards are met
* Manage allergies and dietary requirements, prevent cross-contamination
* Prepare daily lunch and smoothies for nursery staff
* Maintain kitchen paperwork, hygiene standards, and stock management
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a 5-star hygiene rating
* Build relationships with parents and mentor apprentice chefs
* Adhere to health and safety policies and uphold high culinary standards
