In alignment with the global company strategy and in conjunction with the Global Procurement organization, the Associate Sourcing Manager will support the development and implementation of client-specific sourcing strategies, ensuring contractual commitments are met. The role focuses on procurement KPIs, service deliverables, savings, client satisfaction, growth, and retention. It involves managing strategic sourcing initiatives, client KPI reporting, and contractual obligations such as savings guarantees. A key responsibility is managing pre-sourcing of repeat items via the ERFQ process to achieve cost reductions and meet strategic goals. Additionally, the role includes developing reports and preparing proposals for client approval.
What you will be doing:
1. Safety: Always follow all site safety and security procedures and attend required safety training.
2. Create and complete tendering activities via the selected e-RFQ platform.
3. Create and send client proposal documents for cost reduction initiatives, obtain approval/rejection, and log statuses in client-specific reports shared with the Sourcing Manager/General Manager.
4. Manage procurement requests via the chosen e-platform and report project status to the General Manager.
5. Support the Sourcing Manager with data collection and reporting for sourcing strategies, including spend profiles and savings performance.
6. Assist in preparing procurement reports for management reviews and client meetings.
7. Liaise with the Buying department on price escalations and queries.
8. Coordinate with category teams and suppliers on client projects, including site visits.
9. Qualifications: Minimum three years of university education in Economics, Business, Science, Logistics, or an equivalent field; a master's degree is preferred.
10. At least three years of experience in sourcing MRO materials or relevant categories.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn MS Project.
12. Technical background in maintenance, repair, and operating materials is recommended, with knowledge of M.R.P., JIT systems preferred.
13. Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
14. Knowledge of quality assurance practices, project management, negotiation, data analysis, and problem-solving.
15. Ability to understand vendor and client contracts.
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in a global, cross-functional team.
17. Strategic thinking and influencing skills without authority.
18. Financial acumen and fluency in English; additional languages may be required based on location.
