The Role:
Hampshire Pension Services (HPS) administers pensions for the Hampshire Pension Fund, a Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). We are also the pension administrator for the following schemes:
:West Sussex County Council LGPS
:London Borough Of Hillingdon LGPS
:City Of Westminster LGPS
:Hampshire Police
:Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service
:West Sussex Fire
We are made up of several teams, each specialising in a particular area : Member Services; Pensions Customer Support Team (PCST); Employer Services; Data, Systems and Partnership Support (DSPS); Finance; and Communications, Projects, and Development (CPD).
Pension Services is deeply focused on excellent customer service, which is why we currently hold the Customer Service Excellence Award.
We are recruiting pension administrators across these teams : no pensions experience is needed as we offer full support and training from day one.
What you'll do:
The Member Services team are responsible for the administration of people's pensions on a day:to:day basis. The main processes are:
:Setting up records for new scheme members
:Processing leaver information for refunds and frozen benefits
:Organising transfers between different funds and schemes
:Processing around 150 retirements monthly
:Running payrolls for retired members
:Responding to technical queries from members
What we're looking for:
:5 GCSEs (grade C or 4 and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
:Enthusiasm and positivity
:A strong communicator (written and verbal) who can build good working relationships with customers and peers
:Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
:Good attention to detail
:Excellent customer service and enjoy helping people
:Willing to learn and try new things
:Strong IT skills
