About The Role
Balfour Beatty is proud to be delivering a significant package of utilities and infrastructure works as part of the flagship Rolls-Royce project in Derby—a programme that will support one of the world’s most advanced engineering and manufacturing environments. To help us achieve this, we are seeking an experienced Utilities Site Agent who can take a leading role in coordinating and delivering complex multi-utility works on a live, high-security site. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a long-term, high-profile project that plays a crucial part in the future capabilities of the UK’s engineering sector, while developing your career within a team that values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
As a Site Agent You Will
* Leading day-to-day site management of utilities works (water, electric, gas, telecoms, drainage).
* Driving safety excellence through proactive leadership and compliance with Balfour Beatty and client standards.
* Managing subcontractors, method statements, permits, and sequencing of works.
* Ensuring technical compliance, quality assurance, and timely delivery to programme.
* Engaging with client and project stakeholders to maintain clear, consistent communication.
* Supporting planning, reporting, and risk mitigation across the wider delivery team.
Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
* Proven experience in utilities site management within infrastructure or construction.
* Strong understanding of multi-utility installation and coordination.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* SMSTS, NRSWA, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
