Job Purpose
As a Senior Operational Technology Engineer, you will design and develop instrumentation, control, automation, and telemetry systems for water and wastewater systems, working at process sites and within natural water networks. Reporting to a Principal OT Engineer, you will collaborate with Systems Integration Partners, Operational, and Project teams, building strong relationships internally and externally. You will act as the OT lead on large-scale projects, working across disciplines such as Electrical, Civil, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Modelling, and Process engineering.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will address engineering challenges, provide technical advice, support the capital program, conduct studies, and manage projects involving data analysis, design, documentation, and review of proposals.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop OT engineering expertise, embracing innovative technologies and designs, providing project-specific engineering support.
* Contribute to the development of UU OT engineering standards, systems, and procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and cybersecurity legislation.
* Collaborate with suppliers and partners to develop technology roadmaps, manage obsolescence, and deploy new technologies.
* Provide guidance on OT, cybersecurity, instrumentation, and control topics within UU.
* Assist in escalated support to maintain operations and recommend long-term solutions for operational issues.
* Supervise and guide Graduate Engineers and Technicians, supporting the Monitoring and Control Principal Engineer.
