I am seeking a highly motivated Transport Planner to support my client's expanding operations based in Liverpool. My client is at the forefront of container transport, import/export traffic, and HGV logistics. Your new role
As a Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for the efficient planning and coordination of HGV movements across the North West. You’ll work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining cost-effective operations.
* Plan and schedule HGV vehicle movements across the North West
* Manage container transport logistics for import and export traffic
* Optimise routes and resources to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
* Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations
* Monitor transport costs and contribute to budget control
* Maintain compliance with transport regulations and company standards
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in vehicle planning and HGV logistics
* Strong understanding of transport costs and operational efficiency
* Knowledge of container transport and intermodal logistics
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, office-based environment
