Job Description
The Responsibilities if the Buyer will be;
3. Procure goods and services in line with company policies and procedures.
4. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
5. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
6. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet production schedules.
7. Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
8. Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier details.
9. Identify and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement & Supply Chain department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Buyer should have:
11. Proven experience in procurement within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry.
12. Ideally CIPS Level 4 not essential.
13. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
14. Good understanding of supply chain processes and practices.
15. Proficiency in relevant software and systems for procurement.
16. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
17. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
18. Commutable to Coleford 4 days per week with 1 day from home.
