Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking a proactive and performance-driven Collections Manager who will act as team lead in order to facilitate the day-to-day supervision of a collections team within a nationally-renowned debt recovery and legal services company.
You will play a critical role in coaching, motivating and fostering staff development, whilst ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong Microsoft Office proficiency, and a passion for improving productivity and outcomes through ongoing leadership and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support contact centre personnel to maintain high business standards.
* Monitor and manage team performance across productivity, collections, and revenue targets.
* Organise and prioritise workloads to achieve departmental KPIs and goals.
* Provide regular performance-related feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
* Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of new staff.
* Identify performance gaps and implement solutions to foster development and skillset.
* Maintain accurate performance records and escalate issues when needed.
* Assist in the development and optimisation of new processes and procedures.
* Act as a point of contact for client queries and management support.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in debt recovery or collections.
* Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
* Able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, regulation, or procedures.
* Target-driven, self-motivated, and professional in approach.
