We are expanding our services into Endoscopy, including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and haemorrhoidal banding.
About the Role
The role involves working under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse in Charge to provide excellent patient care throughout the entire procedure pathway, from pre-admission to recovery and discharge. EPs support the safe operation of their unit and contribute to CQC and JAG GRS activities and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform clinical tasks and contribute to training others.
2. Carry out site intravenous access for patients requesting sedation, when competent.
3. Ensure endoscopy lists run smoothly and efficiently, adhering to CHEC Endoscopy SOPs and policies.
4. Prepare clinical areas daily.
5. Participate in accreditation and continuing competency training, including JETs framework.
6. Provide compassionate patient care with excellent communication skills.
7. Pay attention to detail and demonstrate eagerness to learn.
8. Exhibit good listening skills and logical thinking.
9. Work effectively as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Registered practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Endoscopy or equivalent.
3. Experience with JAG accreditation.
4. Passion for patient safety and high-quality care.
5. Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
