Salary: £55,000 + overtime.

Role and Responsibilities
* Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on high‑speed food production lines, packaging machinery, conveyors, metal detectors, labelers, baggers, checkweighers, PLCs, control panels, robotics, depositors.
* Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding, repairs, strip‑downs and overhauls.
* Work on motors, gearboxes, VSDs, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, bearings.
* Improve plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor contractors on site, ordering spares and parts.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Multi‑skilled maintenance engineer.
* Ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
* HNC / HND qualified in Engineering.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience with industrial processing and manufacturing systems.
* Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Knowledge of electrical safety isolation procedures.
* Experience working with motors, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, VSDs, pneumatics, drives.
* Experience with SAP beneficial.
* Advantageous if worked with PLC systems.
* Experience in an ATEX/CompEx environment beneficial.
