We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Area Manager – Repairs, our FRA Labourer provide general Labouring works for The Group to a high and consistent standard including a combination of general maintenance works such as carpentry and Minor Fire Door Remedial works. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities. What do our FRA Labour’s do; Install, repair, and renew floors, partitions, roofs, glazing, fencing, kitchen units, doors, windows, and more. Carry out minor plumbing, plastering, tiling, and brickwork repairs. Perform non-accredited Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial works, with training opportunities available for accreditation. Conduct routine safety checks on plant, equipment, and company vehicles. Liaise professionally with clients and customers, ensuring high satisfaction. Supervise apprentices and assist in workload planning. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Participate in an emergency out-of-hours call-out rota. What we are looking for; City and Guilds Craft or minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade or substantial experience. Experience working as part of a multi-discipline team in a busy environment. Proven ability to deliver quality work on time and manage a demanding workload. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and flexible to meet business needs. Valid driving licence and ability to responsibly operate company vehicles. Competent in using digital systems for job management. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. You’ll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
