The Role
We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Food & Beverage Team as a Front of House Assistant Manager.
The Front of House Assistant Manager will assist in the management of our operations at our food outlets – Amelia's Café, The Warren Bar, The Swan Pub and The Pizza Kitchen. They will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences, team leadership, and brand growth.
The main goals are to assist the Front of House Manager to make sure every member of staff is performing to the best of their ability while conforming to company policy, procedures, and goals.

* Responsible for security, keys and codes, follow the Company keys and codes policy
* Be an ambassador of the Cofton Holidays brand, ensure that the business is always presented at its best
* Help to create an environment where all employees enjoy themselves whilst at work and make a real contribution to the success of the business
* Seek authorisation to recruit staff using the Managers HR Handbook processes
* Recruit staff with Cofton’s core values and using Cofton’s Recruitment process
* Responsible for staff rotas, holiday, attendance and ensuring all staff remuneration is recorded correctly
* Review staff performance regularly, in a fair and appropriate manner, giving clear directions and achievable goals
* Assist the Health and Safety Officer to monitor the department and ensure compliance with the latest H&S regulations
* Update company procedures and risk assessments as required
* Ensure risk assessment and hazard analysis is carried out within your department and liaise with other departments to ensure that areas for improvement are communicated, actioned and implemented, developing a culture of preventative action within your assigned area and the department
* Ensure all latest Health & Safety regulations are followed and in accordance with company policies and risk assessments as required
* Adhere to the Fire Risk Assessment, ensure staff are trained and understand the evacuation procedures and take part in drills as required
* Liaise and ensure a senior team member is present for stock takes, take responsibility for the stock takes and wastage control
* Plan, review, analyse and implement any inspection programs regarding legislative or regulatory compliance taking reasonable actions required to reduce risk to the business and demonstrate compliance (compliance monitoring)
* Record incidents, accidents and near misses on Prime, investigate and follow up all incidents immediately and follow up all actions as required
* Responsible for ensuring that all relevant policies written in the Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Handbook are adhered to by yourself and your staff
* Support the Food and Beverage Manager on a day-to-day basis
* Provide cover in the absence of the Front of House Manager
* Understand and comply with licensing regulations and the venues to serve alcoholic beverages
* Ensure the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act are always adhered to
* Ensure impeccable service standards for all meals and drinks
* Ensure a smooth operation across our different types of venue for day into evening, eating in to take out
* Proactively identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities
* Deliver against your department KPIs
* Ensure that all staff wear the correct uniform and name badges
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience of working in a similar role with previous responsibilities in a F&B setting
* Flexibility with ability to work weekends/evenings
* Computer literate and have a good all‑round knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
* Able to multi‑task and remain calm and professional even in a pressurised customer service environment
