Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? LCS is on the lookout for committed and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work full-time (35 hours per week) plus sleep-in shifts, with the potential to earn up to £27,983.80!


About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people transition towards independence. Your work will involve:

* Engaging, motivating, and encouraging young people in their individual flats or shared houses.
* Providing practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans.
* Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals.
* Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training.
* Building community links with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.


What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

* Flexibility in your availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
* A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or be willing to study towards this).
* Experience working with attachment and trauma (desirable).
* Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues (desirable).
* An understanding of the issues faced by young people in care.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
* Intermediate computer skills.


Working Conditions

This role involves working on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends. Your flexibility is key to providing the best support for our young people.
