The job itself
Required to start January 2026. We are looking for an experienced, caring, hardworking individual who would enjoy working as part of a dedicated team with pupils with specific and profound multiple learning difficulties. Good skills required in team working, an understanding of young people, an ability to assess pupils and a flexible approach to work as some activities are off site.
The successful applicant would be working in one of our primary classes. Please note that in the future the successful candidate could be required to work in other departments across Kings Mill sites. For more information about our departments, please visit the school website.
Informal visits are encouraged and can be arranged by prior appointment.
For an informal discussion about this post please contact Lisa Brown.
The school and residence are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. In addition, an online search will be conducted.
You must be able to explain any gaps in your employment/education history and you must have a legal right to work in the UK. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosure checks at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service as well as other background checks including professional references.
We comply with all the principles of safer recruitment as outlined in the DfE document Keeping Children Safe in Education.
Further information about our commitment to safeguarding can be found in our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, available in the policies section of our website
