AmbaSat is looking for a contract Hardware Engineer to support an upcoming phase of hands‑on development and integration on a connected hardware system.
What you’ll be working on
* PCB design (schematic, layout, BoM) through to production readiness
* DFM/DFT thinking and supplier engagement support
* Lab bring‑up and structured debug (power, comms and sensors)
* Clear documentation for design reviews and traceability
Ideal experience
* Strong PCB track record (KiCad or similar)
* Practical bench skills (scope / logic analyser)
* Solid understanding of common digital interfaces (UART/I2C/SPI/RS‑485)
* Nice to have: GitHub familiarity for collaboration/version control
UK‑based, UK‑applicants only. Contract (~3 months, extension possible). Remote/hybrid with occasional on‑site integration days (North of England).
