An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef to work within the diet kitchen at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Working as part of a team you will assist in the production and service of meals at Ninewells Hospital diet kitchen in Dundee, to patients, staff and visitors whilst maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Previous, relevant cooking experience is essential, as is a good knowledge of current allergen legislation, work procedures, practices & equipment through experience and professional qualifications to SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Hours of work are 37 per week. Fixed Term/Secondment for 6 Months.
The post includes shifts between 06:00 and 18:00 working alternate weekends as a continuation of current rotas in place.
A degree of flexibility is essential to the post as you may be required to cover for annual leave or sickness.
Uniform and PPE are supplied.
Enhanced rates of pay for working at weekends +37% Saturday and +74% Sunday. Also generous holiday entitlement, on commencement 27 days and 8 Public Holidays.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
