Grade UE03: £23,742 - £25,804 per annum, pro-rata. CSG / Bioresearch & Veterinary Services. Part-time: 25 hours per week. Open-ended (permanent).
The Opportunity: This post is part-time (25 hours per week).
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated individual to undertake day-to-day housekeeping, cleaning, and van driving duties within our Bioresearch & Veterinary Services facilities. Responsibilities include essential sterilisation support in the wash-up areas, such as cleaning used rodent cages and rodent drinking water bottles. The role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Based at the BioQuarter, with potential requirements to cover colleagues’ leave at Easter Bush, Western General, and King’s Buildings.
Qualifications and Skills
* Understanding of the welfare needs of animals, including the provision of food, water, and a safe environment.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, accurately and in a timely manner. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
* Awareness of Health and Safety, particularly manual handling. Ability to lift 22 Kgs and push cage racks weighing 90 – 130 Kgs.
* Must hold a current UK driving licence.
* Familiarity with standard IT equipment and basic computer skills to complete online training sessions, send/receive emails and request annual leave.
