Retail Sunday Assistant (Derby Shop, Alvaston) at Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
Location: Derby Shop, Alvaston.
Contract: Permanent • Hours: Part time 6 hours per week – Sundays only • Reports to: Shop manager • Department: Trading • Salary: £12.21 per hour.

Responsibilities
* Oversee the running of the shop on a Sunday, including taking keyholder responsibility (training provided) and supporting a team of volunteers.
* Assist the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
* Review and process donated goods and new stock.
* Generate creative ideas to help generate new income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Use customer service skills to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
* Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.

* Adaptability to changing situations; able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to build relationships and communicate well.
* Ideally experience of working in, or understanding of, retail and fashion.

Our retail teams cover store needs on a rota basis. A level of flexibility is needed, but we also recognise you have a life outside of work.
