Construction Buyer - Temporary (Full Time) - 6 months - Northampton
We are looking to appoint a Buyer within construction, to work along side a current Buying Team. This role is available immediately and will be a 6 month placement.
As a result of system changes for our client, additional support is required to maintain the day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will be reporting to a Senior and Chief Buyer, with the ultimate aim to process orders when materials are required on site for housing projects.
You will be expected to:
* Process material orders
* Schedule material deliveries to site when necessary
* Make telephone calls to/from suppliers
* Deal with enquiries from sites regarding deliveries and orders
* Assist with tender enquiries, tender analysis, schedule checking, raising bulk orders from tender
* Assist other Buyers as required
* Price updates of existing bulk orders
Skill set required:
* House Building or Construction Buyer experience preferred
* General computer knowledge
* High level of interpersonal skills and customer service
* Ability to work within a team
Working Hours are 9-5.30 with 1 hour for lunch. These hours can be flexible if you prefer to start earlier and finish earlier
