A Little More About Your Role…
* Undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications.
* Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions.
* Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations.
* Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures.
* Report directly to the lead structural engineer and engage with multidisciplinary design teams including external consultants.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
* A degree in structural engineering and progressing towards Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE).
* A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes.
* A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software.
* An interest in low carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in your design solutions.
* A willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced members of the team.
* Security clearance prior to appointment.
