Location: Dagenham, RM8 1YY (Onsite) Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 5 days over 8 am 5 pm(40 hours per week) Salary: £17,05 per hour The Role We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative (Brick Cutting Support) to join our growing team in Dagenham (RM8 1YY). This hands-on role involves supporting brick-cutting processes and performing warehouse duties to ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Brick Cutting Support: Prepare and place bricks for cutting. Collect and store brick waste and residues appropriately. Profile cutting. Prepare samples / mock-ups using Cladmate products. Assist with machine maintenance. Warehouse Operations: Organise, place, and manage stock under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. Keep the warehouse clean and orderly. Conduct stock checks and report shortages or surpluses. Inventory Management: Regularly monitor and control stock levels. Assist in inventory counts and documentation. Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols in the workshop and warehouse. Maintain clean and safe work environments at all times. Teamwork: Collaborate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams for smooth operations. Requirements: Minimum high school diploma; vocational or technical education preferred. 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations and/or brick-cutting processes. Familiarity with warehouse organisation and inventory management. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to operate brick / profile-cutting machinery preferred. Knowledge of safety and cleanliness standards in warehouse or construction settings. Strong attention to detail.
