Hire Purpose is delighted to be partnering with Sherbornes Solicitors. Sherbornes is a straight-talking, business-savvy firm with clients across the UK, from sole traders to household name PLCs. They don't do fluff or hierarchy; they simply deliver outstanding legal advice in a pragmatic, progressive, and human-centric way.
The role:
Working across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, from shareholder agreements and company articles to acquisitions, disposals, and fundraising deals; you'll also support SME clients with day-to-day contracts like supply agreements and terms of business.
With lots of responsibility, you will also be fully supported to excel and develop your skill set. You will be encouraged to engage with the business community, attending events, promoting yourself, and the Sherbornes brand.
You will be part of a collaborative, generous team that's happy to share knowledge (and coffee rounds!). Commercial or corporate experience is a bonus, but if you have the right mindset, the team will help build your expertise!
Who we're looking for:
You must be trained in England or Wales. For Sherbornes, it's not about where you trained or your grade; what matters is your attitude and how you use the law to help clients get results. It's about working as a team player.
You need a solid grounding, a sense of humour, and the ability to think like a lawyer and a businessperson.
This is a Cheltenham-based role. If you're not local, you must be happy to relocate.
