Job Title: Children's Social Worker - Children in Care Team
Salary: £35ph
Location: Wakefield
Contract: Full-time | Contract
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of Children in Care ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and long-term stability
* Develop and progress care plans and permanency planning for looked-after children
* Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning documentation
* Work closely with foster carers, families, and partner agencies
* Contribute to pathway planning and transition arrangements for young people
* Provide support and guidance to less experienced social workers when required
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Significant experience working within Children’s Social Care – Children in Care / Looked After Children teams
* Strong knowledge of care planning, permanency planning, and statutory responsibilities
* Ability to manage complex cases and work effectively in a multi-agency environment
* Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
