PositionOverview:
As a WarehouseTeam Leader you will play a crucial role in supporting thewarehouse team by ensuring efficient work procedures and providenecessary training for staff to support an effectively runwarehouse and distribution department. This is a fulltime permanentposition with regular working hours from Monday to Friday 8am4pmwith early finish on Fridays.
KeyResponsibilities:
1. Allduties of a warehouse operative (previous experiencerequired).
2. To assist in ensuring health& safety legislation is complied with at all times helpingto maintain appropriate records and documentation wherenecessary.
3. To organise and maintain warehouseareas ensuring that products are inspected upon unloading andstored in accordance with policy. To ensure all despatch processesare accurate and efficient checking the correct stock is selectedgoods are loaded onto vehicles safely and the quality of allproducts is consistently maintained to achieve high levels ofcustomer satisfaction.
4. To help with andsupervise the loading and unloading of all vehicles in a safemanner.
5. To support the Operations Manager toprovide constructive feedback to staff and deliver departmentaltraining for any new equipment machinery or working practices inline with Company procedures regulations and staff requirements inorder to build a productive team.
6. Tocommunicate and collaborate effectively with all staff includingstaff in other departments to ensure the productivity andefficiency of all warehouse and delivery procedures are maintainedand any problems or complaints are promptlyresolved.
7. To use knowledge of departmental KPIsto identify areas for improvement and to suggest adjustments toexisting work practices and procedures to enhance departmentalproductivity and customer satisfaction.
8. Toadhere to all Company Policies systems and procedures including ISO9001: 2008. To actively consider risks (opportunities and threats)relating to the business and to communicate these risks ensuringany agreed action is implementedsuccessfully.
9. To deputise for the OperationsManager where necessary and also provide cover during their absenceand holiday.
10. Any other reasonable duties asrequired.
Skills andQualifications:
Certificate ofProfessional Competence for Road Haulage (achieved or keen to worktowards).
FLT Licences.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage ateam.
Excellent organizational andtimemanagement skills.
Proficient in usingwarehouse management systems and MicrosoftOffice.
Knowledge of health and safetyregulations.
Ability to lift and move heavyobjects.
Strong communication and interpersonalskills.
