The role:
1. As a Senior Support Worker you will support the management team in ensuring the smooth running of the residential services for adults with profound learning disability and complex needs.
2. Provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their care plans.
3. Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
4. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
5. Support clients in achieving their personal goals and promoting their independence.
6. Lead and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
7. Conduct regular assessments of client needs and update care plans accordingly.
8. Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults.
9. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
10. Engage with families and external professionals.
11. Be aware of and oversee any rotas, monitor staff absence.
The Ideal Candidate:
12. Have worked as a Senior Support Worker in a similar setting and ideally hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
13. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Knowledge of safeguarding adults and relevant legislation.
16. Awareness of Safeguarding Adults.
17. Flexible in your working approach and be able to work weekends and shifts between 8am-22.00am
18. Car Drivers with access to your own vehicle
