We’re looking for aChange Portfolio & Business Management Analyst to join our CIO Business Management Team on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract, to support the effective delivery of change across the organisation.

Working within the CIO Business Management Team, this role brings together two key areas:
1. Change Portfolio Office (CPO): supporting the governance, reporting and continuous improvement of our change delivery frameworks (Agile and Waterfall), and providing guidance to Delivery Leads, Programme and Project Managers
2. CIO Business Management: coordinating and delivering centralised CIO-wide business management and operational activities
You’ll play a key part in ensuring our change portfolio is well governed, transparent and aligned to strategic priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
3. Providing PMO-style support to programmes and projects, including governance forums and steering committees
4. Supporting resource and demand management activities across the change portfolio
5. Managing business case and benefits tracking to ensure robust governance and clear outcomes
6. Maintaining and enhancing change delivery frameworks, processes and associated documentation
7. Supporting portfolio-level reporting, management information and board-level updates
8. Coordinating change control processes and portfolio dependencies
9. Carrying out project and programme health checks and tracking actions to completion
10. Supporting financial tracking, time recording and performance insights across the portfolio
11. Supporting CIO-wide business management activities and processes
12. Maintaining business management documentation and digital hubs
13. Coordinating CIO-wide communications, town halls and engagement activity
14. Managing centralised CIO starters, movers and leavers processes
15. Monitoring completion of mandatory learning across the CIO function
16. Contributing to internal newsletters and wider colleague communications
17. Representing the team at relevant working groups and communities of practice
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence working across a complex stakeholder environment.
Essential
18. Experience working within a Portfolio Management Office or Business Management function
19. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
20. P3O or PRINCE2 qualification (or actively studying towards one)
21. Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
22. Comfortable working autonomously, with the judgement to escalate when appropriate
23. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
24. Experience working with both Agile and traditional delivery approaches
25. Familiarity with project and portfolio management tools (e.g. Planview)
26. Strong Excel skills (including formulas and macros)
27. Strong PowerPoint, Word and Visio skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality outputs
