 
        
        We are recruiting a dedicated SEN / SEND Tutor for core subjects (Maths, English, or Science) to support young people with a range of learning, social‑emotional and mental health needs in the West Midlands.
Our mission is to transform the quality of education provided to vulnerable learners with SEN / SEND, SEMH and other additional educational needs. We are committed to supporting children and young people with moderate and severe learning difficulties, and to providing engaging, trauma‑informed, 1:1 tutoring.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
 * Provide Maths, English or Science tuition to young people referred by local authorities and schools
 * Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring sessions
 * Support learning and social‑emotional development through engaging lessons
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
 * Plan each session of teaching, tutoring or mentoring
 * Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet the learner’s needs
 * Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
 * Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS or QTLS)
 * Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
 * Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional educational needs
 * Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
 * Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
 * Two professional references
 * Right to work in the UK (including for remote/online assignments)
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and well‑being of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
 * Position involves engagement as a Worker for short‑term assignments when they arise
 * Contract for service, paid via PAYE
 * No set amount of work or expense coverage is offered
 * Our insurance covers the work you do for us
 * Not a self‑employed or freelance tutoring position
