About The Role
Role Title: Volunteer Teacher (BTec level 1 OR GCSE English, Maths or Science) 6 hours a week max.

Placement Description
The role of Volunteer Teacher involves working with our Hybrid Day Release students on a Tuesday or Friday afternoon, supporting GCSE students with English, Maths, and Science through Master Classes or 1-to-1 support, depending on exam body. A Walsall FC Enhanced DBS check is required.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver BTec level 1 in Sports Studies or GCSE English, Maths, and Science materials.
* Mark workbooks, record and maintain records.
* Follow club policies on Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Emergency procedures.
* Attend meetings with parents, coaches, and students when appropriate.
* Take registers and be responsible for materials, equipment, and facilities.
* Collaborate with education partners (U13s, U14s).
* Be punctual, positive, and engaging.
* Maintain high standards of professionalism aligned with the Club's values.
* Complete tasks on time and undertake additional duties as required.
About The Candidate
Person Specification
Essential:
* QTS or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in BTec-style delivery, marking, assessment, or GCSE teaching in English, Maths, or Science.
* Experience in lesson planning, management, and exam preparation.
* Minimum of three years teaching experience in the relevant subjects.
* Experience supporting students 1-to-1.
Desirable:
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Interest or knowledge in Sport, Football, English, Maths, or Science.
* Willingness to engage in CPD.
* Commitment to environmental sustainability.
