The Role As the CNC Machinist Fabricator, you will play a hands-on role in providing engineering support for a major operating base. You’ll:
Execute Precision Machining: Set up and operate CNC machinery, using engineering drawings to ensure accurate programming and calibration.
Interpret Technical Specifications: Read and analyze technical drawings to produce parts that meet strict quality standards and tolerances.
Quality Assurance: Carry out routine inspections and measurements of machined parts to verify dimensions using standard industry tools.
Safety and Compliance: Use all tools and materials handling equipment safely, reporting any engineering deficiencies or health and safety risks to the Workshop Supervisor.
Drive Efficiency: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance the effectiveness of the workshop and the overall working environment.
Flexible Operations: Work a standard 37-hour week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for a 9-day fortnight and overtime as required. You To be successful in the role of CNC Machinist Fabricator, you’ll bring:
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in milling and machining environments.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Machining, Milling, or Turning (or equivalent proven experience).
Analytical Skills: The ability to read and follow complex technical drawings and basic mathematical skills for measurements and quality checks.
Work Ethic: A well-organized approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
